Long Beach half

This is almost exactly the same time as San Diego 2 months ago. Interestingly, I had to take walk breaks in SD starting at mile 9, whereas this morning, the 18,000 entrants I started with made it difficult to break away in the first few miles (and I was being super cautious about not going out too fast again). This meant I needed to make up many minutes in the latter miles. Which I guess I did, considering I went as least as fast as last time by running a negative split. This is good, as were the sub 9-minute miles I managed late in the game, but it’s still not under 2 hours. Considering I was wobbling around like a drunk person as we were herded through the finish corral, I’m pretty sure I went as fast as I could today.
